With Dr. Frank Stechey

Every day, all dentists practice forensics. This presentation will define the role, scope and what is really meant by “forensic dentistry”. The importance of proper & defensible office clinical records; how to recognize/record suspected abuse and how/when to report it; how victims of crime or accident can be identified by dental records; importance of why victims must be identified; how dental offices can assist with an investigation; how to properly respond to an official Search Warrant; and how dentists & staff can train for a mass disaster response are discussed. Actual cases of victim identification and abuse where dental records & evidence were critical in positive identifications and/or convictions will be highlighted and a Question/Answer session will close the presentation.

Please Note: This presentation contains graphic subject matter and nudity that may be upsetting & disturbing to some therefore attendee’s discretion is strongly advised.
