Microimplant Anchorage Offers Major Treatment Advantages
Thursday, January 31, 2008
Microscrew implants now provide clinicians with multiple treatment options once not even considered. These include prosthetic space closure or opening options previously thought impossible; posterior vertical tooth intrusion in cases of bite collapse or open bite; the elimination of interarch mechanics for correcting sagittal discrepancies, the reduction of treatment time, the simplification of treatment mechanics, the correction of midline discrepancies without interarch mechanics, and the ability to move entire quadrants rather than individual teeth.
