Speaker Biography:
Dr. Kodsi is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive training and experience. He completed his Honours Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences at the University of Toronto and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction from Western University. Dr. Kodsi furthered his education with a one-year hospital-based dental residency program at the University of British Columbia, gaining advanced training in various aspects of dentistry, including conscious sedation.
With a focus on oral surgery, Dr. Kodsi practiced as a general practitioner in the Greater Toronto Area before pursuing a full-scope specialty training program in oral & maxillofacial surgery at McGill University. This comprehensive program covered a wide range of specialties, including dentoalveolar surgery, implant surgery, orthognathic surgery, maxillofacial oncology and reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma and anesthesia.
Following his return to the Greater Toronto Area, Dr. Kodsi became a partner in one of the largest oral surgery groups in the country, CVOS Oral Surgery. Inspired by the notion of continuous improvement and maintaining relevance in a quickly evolving dental landscape, Dr. Kodsi completed a rigorous Executive MBA program at Western University's Ivey Business School.
Dr. Kodsi is a certified provider of Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and all levels of anesthesia including deep sedation and general anesthesia. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, maintains a specialty license with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, and is a clinical instructor at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry. He holds an active staff position at Trillium Health Partners and Halton Healthcare. He is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, the Halton-Peel Dental Association, the Canadian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Ontario Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the ITI International Team for Implantology.
