Course Description:
As a dentist, there is a lot on your plate to learn throughout your career. Though it may seem daunting for those who aren’t financially savvy, one of the more important things to learn throughout your career is how to navigate your tax and accounting journey, in order to set you up for future financial success.
In this session, participants will learn:
1) efficient tax savings strategies and planning tools for the associate, dental practice owner and when buying and selling a dental practice
2) tips to consider and traps to avoid which will improve the dentist’s long-term monetary situation while providing peace of mind and lowering risk,
3) maximizing a dentist’s practice’s value and retirement nest egg.
Presenter’s Bio:
David is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and tax specialist who has been advising the dental profession on tax, estate, financial planning, practice management & buying and selling dental practices for many decades. David has been a frequent speaker at various dental schools, the ODA Annual Spring Meeting,
Toronto Academy of Dentistry Winter Clinic and RCDSO Road Shows. David’s tax articles have been published in various dental publications including Dental Practice Management, Dispatch, Oral Health and Ontario Dentist.
David co-authored the ODA published book titled, “Dentist’s Tax and Financial Guide.
